At the height of the pandemic, I remember walking around in downtown Chicago. It was desolate. Eerily quiet and void of movement. I imagined the bustle of people quickly moving about, each with their own adamant agendas, and somberly craved what had always been normal. It was as if time had stopped and in my mind I visualized something similar to the feeling of this photograph. This image is timeless. A completely unique, split second, frozen in time. It could have been taken 50 years ago, and I imagine that it might look similar 50 years from now. A nod to the energy of life in a big city that will hopefully never come to a standstill again.
