• My eye pauses briefly on the woman in the long dress. Her hand at her side suggests there is some kind of tension. Is she alone with her thoughts or is something about the papers she’s holding? The hand is an interesting detail. The surrounding scene guides me into the intersection. The feeling of movement is amplified by the other figures stepping in rhythm. The lines of the crosswalk push me forward into the cityscape. Everything visually fits nicely together into the frame like a jigsaw puzzle.  As someone who also enjoys exploring street scenes with an iPhone (@maialetti), I’m curious about your interaction here. Are you in the spot waiting for a unique person to walk into the scene or did you jump into the street as it came together? I usually see the scene from background to foreground first. Then I wait for something interesting to happen in the space. Is this a single image or the best of a sequence? A one-off is a challenge with the phone. The headphones volume up button usually provides the quickest response. Did anyone react to your presence? I usually smile and try to explain what I’m doing if someone is on to me.
